The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

I have not posted in awhile, and I am so sad about it because a lot has happened since I posted last! I haven't had the chance now that Bryson isn't taking naps like he should. He just learned to crawl out of his crib and so now he won't settle down to take a nap since he can escape! HELP!!! What do I do! He just barely turned two and he still needs a nap and I still need my two hours of me-time if you know what I mean! Today I wore him out so he could nap and I could post!

Thanksgiving we went to our cabin in Gunnison. We spent the weekend with my family and it was just a fun and relaxing time to eat, play games, and watch a lot of movies. The Friday night after Thanksgiving we went to Manti's main street light parade. It was cute and the kids had a great time!

Then the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, Lindsay had her baby. She named her Allie. She was 7 lbs. 6 oz. She is darling!

Then on Saturday Dec. 6, I turned 30! I can't even believe it! That sounds so old! I had a fun day, though. Tyler made me a video of our life together. It was so neat! Then later on that evening we got a sitter so we could go to dinner and then see, "Four Christmases". Christmas is my favorite time of year and I am so excited it's here.

Utes are Undefeated!!!

Wow! What an amazing game last Saturday. Tyler and I took Tate and left the wingle worm Bryson at grandma's. Tate was confused to see everyone running onto the field after the game ended. I think that game will be a game that even Tate will not forget. GO UTES!!!

The Heaths go to the movies!

Last Saturday evening Tyler and I took the kids to see Madagascar part 2. Tate has been waiting patiently for it to come out and he kept saying all week long, "Mom, I can't wait to go to the movies." We love to get the large bottomless popcorn and large bottomless drink. I mistakenly got a Diet Coke for us all to share. I think Tyler and I got up at least 30 times during the movie to take one of the kids out. The diet coke went right through Tate that he ended having to go potty 3 times during the show. Bryson never sits still. I think I just keep hoping that he will, but who am I kidding? I am not sure he will ever sit still. He pretty much ran wild during the show. The movie seemed pretty cute, but how would any of us know- we were always in the bathroom.

Halloween weekend

On Saturday morning we got up really early and drove to Woodland to Tyler's friend, Cory's cabin. We went with Zach Beynon and his cute family, Brett Beynon, & Mackay and Easton Reid. We went four-wheeling and they had a teeter-totter for the kids. We had a great time!

We had a very busy, but very fun weekend. Thursday night we went to a Halloween carnival that Bountiful City put on at a park. The kids dressed up and they got to jump in those jumbo blow-ups. They got to fish and play all sorts of games for prizes or candy. They had a great time. Then on Halloween we first went to grandma T.T.'s school to watch a Halloween program they put on every year. Then we went to Tyler's work party. They do a lunch and Halloween costume contest every year. That evening we went to Kaysville and went trick-or-treating with all the Heath cousins. Tate was loving it!! They sit in Todd Heath's ranger and he drives them all over the neighborhood. Bryson wanted to eat every piece of candy he got at each house.

Boo at the Zoo

<
Yesterday we went to the annual Boo at the Zoo! We went with Dustin, Jamie, Taylor, April, Dylan, Isabelle, and Tyler's sister Lisa and her husband and 2 boys Ryker and Gage. We got there right when it opened at 9am. It was a lot of fun. The kids had a great time seeing everyone in costume. I am so glad we got there early because it got way too crowded. Bryson wanted to eat every piece of candy he got at each booth. Tate thought that Boo at the Zoo was Halloween, so as we are leaving he asks, "Now can we go home and get the Christmas decorations out?" This time of year he gets so excited about all the holidays. Just about everyday he will ask me which holiday is coming up first and which holiday follows. I should probably make him a chain that he can tear off for each day and count down til the next holiday. It is a lot of fun to see him so excited. Last night we also carved pumpkins. Tyler is a perfectionist when it comes to carving pumpkins. He did a great job. The boys liked painting their pumpkins.

Halloween Fever!

Our kids have Halloween fever!!! They cannot wait to dress up in their costumes for Halloween. Today we went to Gardner Village for their witch festival (it was way too hot and crowded), but the kids had fun dressing up in their costumes and seeing all the other kids in their costumes. As you can see, Bryson is a lion since that is the one sound he knows ROARRRRRR!!! And Tate is Spiderman because he is obsessed!!!

We Got Snow! - October 12, 2008

Wow! We got snow! I can't believe how much snow Bountiful got on Sunday morning! We woke up to just about a foot of snow! Tyler, Tate, and Bryson were very excited to get out and play! They built this 8 foot snowman! The snow was so heavy that I had to go out and help put the middle section and head on! It is going to be such a fun winter now that Bryson is old enough to understand and interact. I don't think he remembers snow so as soon as it started to stick on the ground, he went to touch it and examine it. He was so excited to play to go out and play in the snow. He loves to stomp in it and eat the snow. Tate loves to find icicles and pull them off and suck on them like a sucker (I think my kids should have a pretty tough immune system with all the gross stuff they put in their mouths).

Bryson Turns Two!!!

Bryson is so much fun! He absolutely loves sports! He likes to pretend he is a baseball player and so he goes into Tyler's closet and puts on his baseball cleats and then grabs his tiny mit and ball. He is now ready to PLAY BALL! Bryson turned 2 last Sunday, October 5. We spent the weekend down at the cabin with grandma T.T. and Papa, Lindsay and Tim. We had a great time. Bryson still isn't talking much, but he learned to put up two fingers when people ask how old he is. Bryson didn't understand how to blow out the candle after we sang "Happy Birthday", so Tate decided to blow the candle out for him(and Tate "helped"open Bryson's presents, too). We had to relight the candle so that Bryson could have his turn to blow out the candle. Tate decided that he turned 4 over the weekend, also. I guess since he opened the presents and blew out the candles, that makes him now 4 years old!! He is having a hard time waiting for his birthday.
Bryson got a fire engine, big wheel, and lots of balls. He got so excited about his new ball and bat.

Here is Tate "helping" Bryson open his presents!! We had a great time at the cabin, but it rained most of the weekend. We mostly just sat by the fire, ate, played games, ate, sat by the fire, and ate! The boys just love to go to the cabin.

Night at the Circus

On Friday, September 26, 2008, we went to the circus. Tyler won 2 free tickets at the Bees game during an 8th inning contest with Dustin and Tim. None of us had been to the circus before, so it was new to us. I probably enjoyed the people watching just as much as the circus itself. There are a lot of very interesting people at the circus. Kind of like going to the state fair or Bees game. It was a lot of fun.
Before the show we were able to see the animals. When you ask Bryson what a tiger says, he says, "roarrrrr!" When you ask him what the bear says, he says, "roarrrrr!" To him, all animals have the same roar.
The elephants were getting a pedicure. Tate and Bryson had as much fun before the show as they did at the show.
Tate loved everything about the circus, except the "scary clowns." He did not want them to come to our seats. Tate liked the dogs who ran and caught frisbies in their mouths the best. Bryson calls all dogs "Joey." Bryson actually sat still, which is very uncharacteristic of him. We've never seen him so mesmorized and attentive as he was during the first hour of the show. He would point at all the animals and give their animal sound... or some kind of roar.
